The investor in the Medical Investment Fund (Alfa) has the right to apply for Turkish citizenship. The fund provides a specialized lawyer to apply for citizenship. The first step is to present the “Certificate of Eligibility” (“Uygunluk Belgesi” in Turkish) immediately after purchasing the shares of the fund. This application must be submitted to the Turkish Capital Market Authority through the specialized lawyer provided by the fund management to investors. Foreign investors who invest a minimum of $500,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency in the Medical Investment Fund (Alpha) can apply for citizenship. These investments must be kept in the fund and cannot be sold by the investor for a period of three years.
